SMC BIKE is confident that we made the best carbon rims and wheels, all of our rims and wheels are produced in our own facility, by our own staff, to our strict engineering specifications. Therefore, we confidently offer at least 2 years and even longer warranty to carbon rims and wheels.
Our carbon rims and wheels are designed to be ridden in the most demanding conditions by the best riders, and they are tested to ensure the strength of the wheels far exceed the loads incurred during intended use. But don’t worry, if the wheel or rim break while riding, we’ll repair or replace it for free.
*2-years standard warranty:
All carbon rims offer 2-years standard warranty.
*5-years Prime warranty:
All brands including SMC SPEED MINI CYCLE, PLUME, LUNATE月刃, SURFBREAK carbon wheels and rims offer 5-years Prime warranty.
*Lifetime premium warranty：
All brands including SMC SPEED MINI CYCLE,PLUME,LUNATE月刃, SURFBREAK carbon wheels and rims support lifetime premium warranty, extra 50USD/rim.
The Warranty program is not transferable and only applies to the initial purchaser who purchase their wheels or rims from SMC dealers or SMC directly.
However, the warranty does not cover:
1. Bearing, Brake pads, QR, Axle or nut, Valve and extender, Lockring, Rim tape.
2. Normal wear and tear.
3. Improper assembly or maintenance.
4. Use of brake pads not designed for carbon wheels.
5. When the serial number or production code has been deliberately altered, defaced or removed.
6. Damage or failures caused by a crash, impact, abuse of the product, non-compliance with manufactures specifications of usage or any other fractious reasons.
How to make a claim:
1. Take clear pictures of the position with problem, and the production code.
2. If you purchased from SMC dealers, send pictures to them and go to check with them.
3. If you purchased from SMC directly, please send pictures, order information and production code to us, we will reply in 3 work days.
5. Any manufacturing defect occurs within 1 year of the date of purchase, SMC is obligated to replace the rim and also pay for the shipping cost. If any manufacturing defect occurs after 1 year and within the warranty period SMC is obligated to replace the rim, and you would be responsible for the shipping cost.
Appendix
• For any replacement or repairs beyond the warranty period, extra component costs and shipping cost will be collected.
